Laser Irrigation
In a traditional root canal procedure, the dentist injects a strong disinfectant into the contaminated canal. This method of irrigation typically does not get a sufficient amount of disinfectant into the root-tip. The laser uses light energy to create fluid turbulence inside the canals of your tooth. The turbulence scrubs the canal walls clean of bacterial debris. It also penetrates, cleans and disinfects complicated anatomy far better than conventional root canal instrumentation. Cleaner canals mean a higher chance for success and less pain/discomfort after the procedure.
BENEFITS OF LASER IRRIGATION FOR ROOT CANALS
- Consistent results
- Safe and effective
- Better cleaning and decontamination
- Improved treatment outcomes
Surgical Operating Microscope
This advanced technology has completely changed the scope and practice of endodontic care. The magnification and illumination this technology offers, allows us to see tiny intricacies in anatomy never before possible. The microscope allows for the use of smaller and more precise instruments during treatment. This technology has advanced the diagnostic and treatment possibilities in all aspects of endodontic care.
MICROSCOPES AID IN
- Finding hidden and accessory canals
- Locating and removing separated instruments
- Preserving more tooth structure
- Improving ergonomics for the clinician
Sedation
We understand that having a root canal can be an anxiety producing experience. We offer this sedation to help patients overcome their anxiety and create a comfortable environment.
- Oral medication can be given to a patient approximately 60 minutes prior to the dental appointment. Our intent with the oral sedative is to make you very relaxed.
- Patients may fall asleep but the medication does not put you to sleep, like an I.V. sedation might do.
- Please contact our office for more information and to answer any questions on how to add this as part of your treatment plan.
Conebeam (CBCT)
Our CBCT imaging offers unparalleled diagnostic 3-dimensional image quality at the lowest reasonable radiation dose, giving Dr. Erben a more precise image than compared to traditional X rays.
- These high resolution images are then used to construct a 3-D representation of the patient's teeth, oral and maxillofacial region (mouth, jaw, and neck).
- These images are then analyzed in a sophisticated computer in our office which gives us more detailed information.
- CBCT has become an indispensable tool in evaluating and diagnosing pathology with a higher degree of accuracy as compared to standard x-rays.
Digital Radiography
In our practice the health and safety of our patients is of the highest concern.
- This cutting edge technology allows an approximate 80% reduction in radiation to our patients with an increase in diagnostic capabilities.
- The result is a highly detailed digital image of your tooth that can be enhanced to better diagnose dental concerns and determine the very best treatment for each case.
TDO Software
We use TDO Software as it is considered the best endodontic software available.
- The website integration allows our patients to securely access the site to complete the medical history and consent forms online before their appointment.
- The software allows our referring dentists to make referral and receive their patients’ reports and imaging through secured HIPAA compliant portal right after the patient is seen.
- This technology enables us to diagnose and treat our patients more efficiently and to communicate more effectively with both the patient and referring doctor that is secured and HIPAA compliant.
